Re: WorldVistA EHR VOE/ 1.0 Achieves CCHIT Certifi

Great news!
I wonder if and how other FOSS Healthcare applications will be able to do this in the future. Few obvious berries are the huge cost and the fact that CCHIT is setting the interoperability bar higher every year.
On of their future requirements will be IHE integration, which is not so easy unless you use other open source tools ;-)

Good question Eishay. The only encouraging thing for lesser funded applications is that the requirements are public. Therefore even if you can't pay for the certification you can determine if you meet it.
Maybe a suite of open source tools to perform testing against the requirement would be a good project?
Cheers,
Tim

Everyone who has ever worked on VistA, from the original HardHats to the WorldVistA geeks who did the work to get ready for the CCHIT testing, have a right to be very proud of this.
You have given our community the right to be very proud.

This is wonderful news. Now my only question is, where can I get a copy? I checked the WorldVistA website and the latest version is still 2.3.1 - is this the one that was certified?
Thanks.

Search for VistA Office EHR (VOE) on sourceforge. Not sure that they've changed the name yet. -- IV
