You're just jealous. PatientOS will be much more maintainable than your crappy PHP code. Take a look at the code that already exists, this guy is doing good work. The maintainability factor will lead to quicker enhancements, and as time goes on it will quickly outpace the PHP products. This duplication of effort will be a good thing in the end, but not for you. And that is freedom!

    *sigh* Yes. That is definitely it. I am jealous of PatientOS. That is why I spent all this time trying to draw attention to my own PHP project. So that I can bask in attention. Oh wait. I have hardly mentioned PHP, or my own project. I also did not mention the excellent work in MUMPS by the WorldVistA people. Instead I exclusively talked about another Java-based highly-maintainable project that I have never worked on.... Well shoot, there goes that motivation theory. -FT
