The video shows it running under windoze, and that leads to a question: is it native windoze, or is it something which runs on other platforms too? (java, etc.)
Also, is it table-driven? For example, if I'd like to move a patient data item from the "advanced" tab into the basic data tab, because it's always needed in my practice, can I do that without diving into code?
And finally: I actually *AM* quite capable of diving into code. Is it FLOSS, or under other license terms with liberal code inspection and modification terms?

Right now it is written in Delphi which is what CPRS is written in. I have no direct experience but this is said to basically be Pascal. I do think it is windows only with the possibility of porting via Kylix. It will be FLOSS licensed. -- IV

Sorry, I just don't get it. It might have been impressive in 1993, when Delphi might have been a viable language and graphical variable editors might have been exciting. But now in an age of cross platform open source apps, seeing this just turns me off Vista even more.
I understand that Vista may be a very powerful system, but it seems to be run by a cadre of high priests who don't want to make any concessions for the real world. So it may remain in a corner forever.

Forever is a long time. Things are moving in the right direction only 'medical time' can be un-comfortably long for all concerned. I would like to agree with you but in the 10 years that I've been closely observing and heavily involved with Health IT in general, precious little has changed and the fundamentals both good and bad remain the same. Also, the 'high priests' are mostly 'busy priests', not necessarily high. -- IV

I've re-packaged this into a much easier to install package with quick install instructions and can be found here: http://ignaciovaldes.com/wig-files/GUI_Config.zip Has been tested with WVEHR 1.0
