Re: LinuxMedNews Open Source Medical Project List
by yp on Sunday October 22, 2000 @ 05:43 AM
Interesting list but it fails to acknowledge the different contributions taken from OpenHealth or from http://homeusers.brutele.be/ypaindaveine/opensource/inventory.html or http://librehealth.sourceforge.net... How can you explain the presence of Prorec, Star, ... which are EU (European Union) projects, not really open source, but nevertheless interesting in a EU context?

Hi Yves, Didn't know about your sourceforge one. I like it. I have the open health page you list above on the front page of LMN in the Quick Links section and constantly reference it in my articles. The above is actually a compilation from a bunch more lists than just the ones you listed above as well as private submissions by the project leader of ones that didn't appear on any list as well as grinding through search engines. This list is not good. It lacks many things and is set to be updated greatly December-January with enabling software. Your list is great and I think we should get together on this. I'm listing your list shortly. -- Saint

Okay, done. Let me know if the above isn't satisfactory. I have actually looked at using the sourceforge software to run the above, but it seems to have a lot of things that I don't need and is missing things that I do need. I wonder if http://www.icewalkers.com software is up to the task? Otherwise, I'm going to hack Squishdot. -- Saint
