Re: Review: Win4Lin Puts Windows on Linux Desktop
by Saint on Wednesday August 30, 2000 @ 09:23 AM
Certainly it leaves you open to the attacks, but the reality is that all of those secretaries, administrators and trench workers know Windows and Office. In fact, practically any sizable organization has the 'Word Processing' class or the 'Computer Class' which is really the 'Microsoft Word' and 'Microsoft Windows' class. Until Linux begins to make an actual physically present dent in that mindshare, the rank and file can use win4lin as a crutch. -- Saint
