Anyone remember OS/2 2.x's windows (win16 only unfortunately) support? It'd, through some odd display drivers, IIRC, let you run windows apps alongside OS/2 ones. Now /that's/ what I'd like to see for Linux. -don

    Well, that is exactly the aim of the WINE project. It's already running some Win apps (IIRC, there is a list of working apps on their homepage), but I think it's still far from completion and often looks like a mess. BTW, another very important benefit of the WINE project is that it makes porting applications to Linux a lot easier (and has already been used to port Corel Office, for example).
