Perhaps its due to the post-processing, but I noticed that the filesize of the windoze generated picture is about 50% bigger than the linux one... (138K vs. 89K)

    Maybe that's also why the Linux scan looks so fuzzy compared to the Windows version. Perhaps the images should have been saved in a lossless format e.g. PNG instead.
