FreePM has its latest running on IBM’s big iron through IBM’s developer works program in which you can strut your stuff on a s390 ‘enterprise class’ mainframe running a huge number of instances of SuSE Linux. Response time appears quite snappy and truly demonstrates the scalability of a portable operating system like Linux. Score a big one for medical open source.
