It seems as though the Europeans continue to be out in front of the US in adopting open source in healthcare: Information Society Technology (IST) is an executive organization consisting of 15 European countries that among other things funds healthcare technology projects, part of which are required to be in the public domain. Many of these projects sound ambitious.
