FreeMED Software Foundation wishes to report a French translation is now available for version 0.8.0
FreeMED, an Open Source practice management and Computerized medical and electronic health record now has a French translation available.
FreeMED was built to be language agile. Deomographic information can be gathered in any Unicode language and so long as the demographics are not edited except in that language, they will retain their original characteristics. The intent was to make FreeMED internationally available. Additionally we felt this was important for use in areas where there might be many language groups. It would permit identifying individuals by their local names making it easier to find and identfy them at a later date.
Our i18n site is http://i18n.freemedsoftware.org/ Please log in and register to make a translation available.
There are current ongoing translations for Spanish and Italian (in process).
FreeMED is now available as a LIVECD for download. The LIVECD allows the user to mount a FreeMED system on the computer without installing it.
FreeMED is available with dependencies from SOURCEFORGE including the latest version of REMITT 0.3, the FreeMED xml-xslt biling package.
