Wardwiki is a wiki to aid foundation doctors in the UK manage their ward work more effectively. In this way it complements other, more academic websites and wikis by giving more practical guidance.

Wardwiki was developed by doctors working on the Isle of Man and later in the UK who felt that, while there were many online resources that offered academic support to junior doctors, there was much to be offered in the way of practical real world advice.

Much of the work done by foundation officers can be repetitive and non academic and this seems to take a low priority on many online websites. This work is crucial and great efficiencies can be gained early on by sharing experiences while maintaining good clinical standards by having such guidance referenced wherever possible.
