Medical project in IST-Africa 2009

The Medical project will be presented in IST-Africa 2009 (www.ist-africa.org).

The workshop will discuss the implementation of an Open Source Hospital Information System in rural Argentina.

Medical is a multi-user, highly scalable, centralized Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Hospital Information System (HIS) for openERP.

Our goal is to provide a free, universal EMR / HIS, where developing countries can also benefit.

Debian Med released with Debian 5.0 (Lenny)

The recent release of Debian 5.0 (Lenny) contains a lot of medical software which is interesting for several tasks in medical work. The strongest part remains the support of microbiological applications but also medical imaging and the practice management GNUmed are included now.

Registration Open for OpenClinica European Summit – April 14, 2009

SCaLE 7x announces speakers and keynotes, as early bird registration draws to a close this Monday

SCaLE 7x has announced the conference line up for their February 20-22, 2009 event in Los Angeles. The keynote speakers will include, Joe ‘Zonker’ Borckmeier and Bradley Kuhn. GNUmed Live CD 0.3.8 released

A new GNUmed live CD is out. With the help of this CD one can testdrive GNUmed without altering the currently running environment such as operating system. No installation neccessary.

Just download the CD image (http://www.gnumed.de/downloads/live-cd/) and either burn it to a CD or set up VirtualBox, Vmware/Vmplayer, QEmu or the likes to accept the CD image as a virtual CD drive.
